Cozart^® RapiScan

Cozart® RapiScan is an innovative drugs of abuse testing system which provides reliable results in a matter of minutes. The system offers a number of benefits:

• Sample adulteration is prevented as collection can be directly observed.
• It is easy and straightforward to use.
• It provides on-the-spot results in minutes rather than hours or days as required by conventional laboratory testing.
• It allows for simultaneous detection of up to five different drug groups from a single sample.

Removing the doubt from on-site diagnosis the hand-held Cozart^® RapiScan instrument minimizes user-error and removes all subjectivity from diagnosis. The system accurately times the incubation period, reads, interprets and stores the results which are displayed on the screen and can be printed. A secondary signal of green or red flashing lights gives immediate operator feedback. The system can be used in dim light or outside, where visual interpretation may be difficult.

Unlike many other biological samples, in which drug traces can persist for considerable periods, the concentration of drugs in oral fluid is a better indicator of drugs present in the blood.

Cozart RapiScan system comprimises:

• An oral fluid collection swab
• A disposable test cartridge which evaluates the oral fluid sample for the presence of drugs
• A handheld instrument which interprets and digitally displays the results and stores them for future reference
• Optional printer for a permanent record of test results
