Cozart is a dynamic medical diagnostics company specialising in drugs of abuse detection. The company designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of diagnostics products which include the leading edge CozartŪ DDS System and test solutions for on-site testing including the Cozart solids tests for powders and a comprehensive range of point of contact urine drug tests. The portfolio extends to laboratory based test kits for a variety of sample types including ELISA and automated homogenous EIA .
Cozart also offer a comprehensive laboratory service providing screening and confirmation services in a variety of samples including oral fluid (saliva), urine, and blood through its state of the art analytical laboratories based at Abingdon, UK.
In October 2007, Cozart was acquired by Concateno plc. The Cozart group has wholly owned subsidiaries in the UK (Nemesis-Scientific), Spain (Spinreact), Sweden (HL Scandinavia and Medib Scandinavien), and Italy (Cozart Italia). The acquisition of Spinreact in September '05 has broadened our product offerings, which now include an extensive range of clinical chemistry, serology, coagulation, blood grouping and immunochemistry reagents and instrumentation.
An early adopter of the innovative CozartŪ RapiScan System was the UK Home Office, who has been using the system for the detection of Opiates (Heroin) and Cocaine in a saliva sample from arrestees as part of the Drugs Interventions Programme since July 2001.
Development and production work is undertaken at our integrated laboratory, manufacturing and sales facilities at Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire and Esteve d'En Bas, Girona, Spain.
